CCP is excited to welcome Lance Kunz, DO to our practice this fall!

Dr. Kunz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to providing compassionate, family-centered care. Raised in Templeton, he graduated from Templeton High School in 1995 before pursuing a career in medicine. Dr. Kunz earned his medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005 and completed his pediatric residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in 2008.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kunz served for 21 years as a pediatrician in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. During his military career, he deployed to Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He also spent 10 years caring for children and families in a busy pediatric practice in Killeen, Texas.

After more than 30 years away, Dr. Kunz is delighted to return to the Central Coast and serve the community that gave so much to him. He is honored to care for local children and partner with families in supporting their health, growth, and development. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kunz enjoys spending time outdoors and making memories with his wife, Melinda, and their four adult children: Amber, Kaitlin, Christian, and Leah.
